Hand-up Initiative
Madison County Hand-up Initiative, or MCHI is a group of volunteers striving to reduce violent crime by performing the TenPoint Coalition model used successfully to drive down violent crime in cities nationwide. We aim to redirect youth away from criminal activity and towards beneficial opportunities. We offer mentorship to young men and women. We express the genuine interest and care we have for these young people. We discuss life experiences, choices made and the good and bad consequences of decisions. We also teach children that they are not defined by their environment or by bad choices they may have made in the past. We offer perspective and points of view they may not receive otherwise. We express that with hard work, self discipline and good decision making, the sky is the limit. Please, help us give the Madison County Community a Hand-up! Working Together to Better Our Community
With a growing number of active citizen volunteers, our organ ization forms a strong and invaluable network. This allows us to help in the communities where we live and work. To be effective, our work needs to be done with regularity so that crucial relationships are built and bonded. Hand-up Initiative welcomes anyone who would like to help us keep peace in Anderson and Madison County.

If you or your business has resources, opportunities or benefits available to help those in need, please reach out to us. We are building a network of resources to offer those in need. At MCHI, we give a Hand-up to those who have found themselves on difficult times to help them find a path to success.
